Jim Andrews - Managing Director

Jim Andrews is the son of the Star Group's Founder John Andrews. He joined the Star Group in 1980 having worked as a Project Engineer on major construction projects. Jim has worked in many roles, both administrative and construction, within the Star Group and was appointed Managing Director in 1990.

Jim oversees the overall strategy for the growth of company exploring new ideas to ensure that the Star Group stays ahead of its competition.

Geoff Coleman - General Manager Star Electrical Major Projects

Geoff joined the Star Group as an apprentice over 25 years ago. Geoff has risen through the ranks to his current role as General Manager, Star Electrical Major Projects.

Geoff is currently overseeing projects including Westmead Hospital, Regent Place residential/retail towers, Parramatta Justice Precinct and the new Centrelink Head Office in the ACT. Prior to this role, Geoff was the Construction Manager overseeing works at Parramatta Police Headquarters, RPA Hospital and Gosford and Wyong Hospitals.

Phil Edwards - General Manager Commstar Communications

Phil has been with the Star Group for the last 25 years. Phil joined the Company as a supervisor, servicing Star Electrical clients on minor works. Phil became Construction Manager four years ago and has now taken over Commstar Communications, the Group’s data cabling division, as its General Manager. Phil will continue to provide his extensive experience and expertise on electrical projects.

Whilst working as a Construction Manager, Phil led both the design and construction team for the Citibank and World Square projects. Each project had a contract value of around 20 million dollars.
