About the Star Group
The Star Group of Companies is a privately owned Australian electrical and data communications business operating since 1954 and employing approximately 300 people. Head Office is located at Condell Park, Sydney. The Star Group also has an office in the Sydney CBD and on the NSW Central Coast to service its clients in those areas.
The Star Group comprises of three divisions:
- Star Electrical
- Commstar Communications
- Solar Electric and Lighting
Providing a comprehensive service to all its customers.

Star Electrical Co. Pty Ltd provides its customers with design and construction services. Star Electrical focus on contracts between 3 million and 50 million dollars. Its Customers are generally some of Australia’s largest builders, such as Multiplex and Thiess. |
Commstar Communications provides fit-out services, maintenance and data services. Commstar focuses on contracts up to 3 million dollars. Commstar’s main customers include smaller builders (construction values up to 20 Million), fit-out companies and Fortune 500 end-users. In addition, Commstar provides data cabling services on Star Electrical’s major projects. Some of the Fortune 500 companies include Deutsche Bank, Citibank and IBM. |
Solar Electric & Solar Lighting are the purchasing arm of the Star Group of companies. This division provides the whole range of electrical and lighting products to the Star Group, as well as servicing external clients. Solar Lighting provides solutions that can provide cost savings, without changing the intent of the architectural design |
